Andrea Pfeiffer

Stroller Strides, Stroller Barre, and Body Back Instructor

Hi! My name is Andrea Pfeiffer, instructor for FIT4MOM Twin Ports.

I was born and raised in Duluth, MN. I married my husband Jon in 2009 and we now have two boys, Axel and Felix, along with a dog, two cats, and a fish! It's a full house! I work full time for Cassandra Bail Bonds as a Bail Bond Agent. Growing up, I was always very active with swimming, soccer, dance, and I was on my High School Dance Team. After graduation, to stay active I got into Fitness Boxing, which I found was a great stress reliever! However, after having kids, it was getting tougher and tougher trying to find time to myself to keep up with workouts and such while working full-time and being a mom. I was getting out of shape fast and needed to do something about it. I stumbled across a Facebook post from a friend about Stroller Strides in June 2015 and decided to go check it out not really knowing much about it. After attending my first class, I immediately was hooked! Getting in a full body workout while being able to bring my kiddos along and entertaining them at the same time, plus having a village of moms to relate with is amazing and something I very much needed!

Fit4Mom Twin Ports has been so unbelievably great for myself and my kids as well, so when the opportunity came to help teach, I jumped right on it! I very much look forward to spreading the passion and love I have for Stroller Strides onto other mamas and their kiddos! Shout Yay for Stroller Strides!!

We LOVE to recognize the women in our community who work hard to take care of their bodies, so they can take care of their families. Today we are cheering for Daisy Cartier because her strength, soul, personality, and beauty say it all. Daisy, we are crushing on you! #MomCrushMonday

Remember to B R E A T H E, mama! During our classes, you will generally hear the instructor reminding you to B R E A T H E at least once during our exercises. Why? Breathing exercises can help with stress management and overall well-being. When practicing any breathing exercise, "always inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth. Keep your shoulders relaxed, and don't shrug them" (Google, 2017). Try this: fill and empty your lower lungs 8 to 10 times. Next, add the second step to your breathing: inhale first into your lower lungs as before, and then continue inhaling into your upper chest" (Google, 2017). Inhale, exhale, repeat. How do you feel?
